Inquire about volunteering with historic Dewings Center!

Dewings Center provides several opportunities for volunteering. When you give of your time and talent, you’ll become a “Friend of Dewings Center” and part of a fun group working together to provide classes, programs in The Arts, and events current to local area interests and issues. Plus, you’ll have our heartfelt gratitude! This is a flexible commitment and you choose the work, and days and hours, right for you.

Friends of Dewings Center, Volunteer Opportunities:

Present, Demonstrate, Teach
Share your hard-earned, developed, expertise and skill with a presentation, demo or class for the community.

Event Setup and Breakdown
Assisting with anything from moving chairs, to lending a creative eye, and plenty in-between.

Event Attendant
Assisting with patron needs and questions at Center produced events and programs.

Grounds Beautification
Tending the front ornamental trees and flowers, edging the front sidewalk, and general pickup.
May thru September.

Sidewalk Shoveling and Salting
Tending to the small sidewalk in front that wraps around to the main entry and ramp doors.
November thru April, no more than once per week.

General Maintenance
For handy folk. Inside maintenance that doesn’t require a qualified pro.

Grounds Maintenance
For outdoorsy folk. Lawn mowing, and outside maintenance not requiring a qualified pro.
May thru September.
